Not as clumsy or random as some other Extra Pale Ales, Chain Sword was brewed with Golden Promise Malt and El Dorado hops - an elegant beer for a more civilized age.

Always curious what makes for an “extra” pale ale. In the case of Chain Sword, it appears to indicate we’ve drifted into hoppy golden ale territory; very light, grainy malt notes and a mild El Dorado melon finish with a touch of citrus pith and pine. Surprisingly mild for a 3F beer.

Aromas are malt, dusty resin with hints of citrus and MJ. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, bittersweet and kind of bland.
