Deep brown with next to no head. Big aroma that immediately fills the room. Molasses, sweet malts, rich brown sugar, brandy, some delicate rum notes, background oak. Finish is long with sweet notes of brandy. A powerhouse and a delicious one.

Bottle pour at Grimm, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is big and complex, with plenty of wood, apple brandy, some gentle rum barrels, brown sugar, and toffee. Flavour is rich and complex without being too brutal or sweet, revealing lots of apple brandy, dark rum, wood, brown sugar, molasses, and caramel malt. Not syrupy at all, but wonderfully expressive of the barrels. Everything works really well here.
