On tap at The Barley Merchant, pours a red-tinged deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is dry, with toasted malt and a touch of dark cocoa. Flavour is fruity, with toasted malt, some nice fruitiness, and bready notes. Smooth, fruity and malty. Competent porter.

Roast and a little caramel. Black pour without much head. Light bitter end. Not much to this.

Dark brown, medium head. Smells more like Irish stout, that light roast, bit of fruitiness. Similar palate. Slightly creamy body, lowish bitterness so more like Murphy’s or Beamish, but I am still getting those Irish vibes. Maybe some caramel in the finish where I’d rather see hop but it’s got decent balance.
