We brewed our 1907 ale to celebrate the centerary of the world famous Isle of Man TT Motorcycle Races. That was 2007. In 2008 everybody wanted to know where our 1907 beer was! So we kept on brewing it. After all, if beer tastes this good, you might as well carry on celebrating...

1907 has aromas of tropical fruit, mainly Mango and Pineapple. It is dark gold in colour with smooth malt and fruit on the palate, with a hint of sweetness leading to a dry hoppy after palate.

Golden colour. Balanced aroma of toasty malts and lightly fruity hop. Well balanced flavour too. Moderately bitter. Great session beer.

500ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours golden with a light haze, thin white long-lasting head. Aromas are orange and light floral soap. Taste is Quite bitter at first, spicy bitter, giving way to caramel and white sugar sweetness at the end. Medium body, slightly oily texture. Pretty good.

330ml bottle: opened at 03.15 on 25th Nov 2014. Just dropped the wife and two of her friends off for their trip to Brugge: hope she brings me back some surprises! Anyway, this was poured into a Chimay chalice and it looked good, a clear golden body with a lasting white blanket on top. Fruity, malty nose and taste with a strong hop bitterness as a base. Robust little thing, it impressed me with it’s bite and hoppiness after the initial fruit and malt burst had subsided. The best Okells beer I have had so far (I think).

50 cl bottle @ VastActiv, BBE 14/2014
Aroma is sweet with apricot. Flavour has minerals, apricot, some gooseberry bush leaves, toffee and hints of grapefruit. Rather thin for this ABV and needs more fruits.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BBE Dec 2014, courtesy of VastActiv, 20141122) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head small and white. Aroma had grass, earth and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were earth, sweetness, caramel, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A nice combination of English hops.

500ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, deep golden colour with small, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Fruity hoppy aroma has notes of gooseberry, unripe kiwi fruit, biscuity malty basis. Taste is slightly sweet biscuity malty with a touch of toffee, slightly bitter, fruity hoppy overtones with notes of kiwi, gooseberry, a touch of lemon; moderately bitter, herbal hoppy finish. Nicely balanced, very drinkable, really tasty.

Bottle from Ales By Mail [130814]
Golden amber, clear, frothy white head
Aroma of spicy hops, some soft lemon, unusual aroma, earthy spicy, some floral perfumy notes
Taste of spicy hops, bit earthy, English hops here, bit peppery, dab of lemon, soft sweet caramel background, some toffee, quite a complex taste
Palate - soft carb, medium body, fairly bitter hops, soft sweet. Finish as main flavour, quite dry, soft light toffee, fairly bitter spicy hops
Overall - English hopped IPA, fairly hoppy bitter, good flavour, like it that the English hops are not overdone, interesting beer
