473mL can. Pours very dark brown with a beige head. Lots of soapy pine and a soft, bready roast on the nose. Flavour has a decently bitter roast character and a slightly stale and soapy pine hop expression. It's pretty decent, but the hops and malts are both a bit timid.

473mL can, pours black with a medium beige head with long retention. Nose has a nice, medium roasted malt character, with a nice piney, earthy hop bite to balance -- well, that smells legit. Flavour is well-balanced between the roasted malt and earthy, somewhat piney hops. Nice malt backbone to support the moderately bitter finish. Certainly not the best black IPA out there, but it's well-made and strikes the right notes. Good stuff.

Dark brown, with a thick head. Toasty, almost meaty aroma. On the palate itβs medium bodied with more of a thin, roasty, crackery character. Moderate bitterness, and minimal hop aromatics. Finishes with a bit of husky harshness.
