This may look like a stout or porter, but do not fear the dark! Darklandia is a hop forward IPA brewed with roasted malts to give it it’s dark appearance. Expect big fruity flavours and aroma, with subtle dark chocolate notes sneaking in.

Medium-brown. Murky looking, without much head. The aroma is a bit weak, and on the palate it has spicy hops, but not much in terms of definitive malt signature. Maybe a bit of toastiness. Kind of a hoppy brown, rather than a true Black IPA. But I do like that hop note.

On tap at Stanley Park, pours a dirty dark brown with a small tan bead. Aroma is pretty subdued, with a good balance of roasted malt and earthy hops. Flavour is more assertive, with a nice roasted malt base, earthy hops, and maybe a hint of tart citrus. I want more roast and more hops in my black IPAs. The balance is decent, though it's a bit rough and dirty.
