Gravity cask at the 2016 Cambridge Beer Festival. Ruddy brown, clear and translucent, with a film of cream-coloured head. Oak, sarsaparilla, vanilla and red berry in the strident bouquet. Sweet malty taste with slight bitterness in the finish. Current and horehound in the aftertaste. Pretty good although can’t compare with the best brown ales.
