Dark amber in colour with a distinctive malty aroma. Slightly bitter on the palate but with a mellow aftertaste.

Handpull cask at the Sir William Peel, Sandy. Light brown or dark Amber, flat and clear. Sulphur and forest floor in the aroma, so not going to be my kind of beer. Bittersweet taste works much better, and is actually quite pleasant, with a woody tang near the finish. More sulphur in the aftertaste though, so ugh. And itโ€™s not helped by being flat as a pancake. Itโ€™s pretty decent for what it is, but just not my sort of thing.
