A delicious amber ale with underlying fruity flavours. Nuttiness will dominate the palate.
With centuries of patronage, Mild remained the most popular beer style in England until the 1960's. Former Lacons employees will remember a somber February morning in 1968 when the last brew of Mild signalled the closure of the original brewery.

Gravity cask at the 2017 Cambridge Beer Festival. Honeyed gold, clear and flat. A little bit of toffee and digestive biscuit in the aroma, but there’s not a lot here if truth be told. Taste is also light but more satisfying with a gentle malty sweetness - think Lotus biscuit spread - and more than a touch of bittering hop in the finish. Light milds are a dying breed, so it’s always good to make the acquaintance of one even if it’s a bit on the bland side. It’s not the greatest personality beer-wise but it’s more intriguing than I thought it would be.
