Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Brown with medium beige head. Light roastiness, chocolate, lactic, sweet. Smooth texture. Medium bodied.

Cask at the Queens Head, Stourbridge. Pours dark cola brown with a small head. Aroma is coffee Quality Street. Taste has bitter roast and cola to start. Bitter coffee finish.

Handpull cask at the Lower Angel, Warrington. Mid- to dark brown, translucent with a reasonable amount of light tan head. Chocolate malt, some coffee beans, some blackberry in the aroma. There's a malty milky sweetness which is soon drowned out by an intense hop bitterness, and it finishes with a heavy medicinal note. Body's thicker than it looks with flat carbonation and a slick mouthfeel. Reasonably good.
