We went back to the well for this one. It is a remix of our classic Veritas 006 (aka sangria). We have raspberry and cherry providing the bulk of the fruit texture over a sour yellow base beer. To this, we also added some orange peel and freshly zested mandarin orange zest as well. The beer finishes with a nice tannic finish and is truly a refreshing riff on a Lost Abbey classic.

Bottle @ The Lost Tasting Of Abbey Beers, Odense 2013. Deep red with a lasting pink head. Aroma of equal parts raspberry and cherry with funk and wood and a touch of vinegar. Dry and tart red berry flavour with a hint of orange peel, especially in the aftertaste. Some funk and wood, and definitely some vinegar acidity

Like daknole, the first beer out of the shoot at GABF 2012 for me on day 1. It pours up with a murky deep dark red cherry body that supports a sort of tan head mixing with an apricot hue. The aroma is fruity dark cherries and tartness as well as lemon like acidic smelling notes. The taste is fully puckering tartness with nice robust cherry notes and lemon acidity across the edges of the tongue rolling into just a faint level of funk in the end. Interesting and sort of nice. I love the appearance.

Sample at GABF 10/13/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. This brew pours a deep reddish-amber color with a medium eggshell white head and stringy lacing. Aroma of berries, yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of tart raspberry, citrus, yeast and oak. The finish is fruity with a lingering sour fruit aftertaste. Very good overall.

On tap at GABF 2012. Pours a murky reddish hue with a medium white head. A big sour nose of berries and some wood. The flavor is a zesty and tart concoction of fruit and sour wood with some funkiness. A bit of sour vinegar and sweeter cherries. Very good and lively.
