Cask at the brewery, a clear golden orange coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is semi sweet, fruit and nut, cakey malts hint if vanilla. Palate is semi sweet good cask condition. Flavour is composed of nutty malts, toffee, fruit cake. Good. Nice layered malt character.

A 4.2% Doppelbock? Are you sure? Handpull cask at the Cambridge Brewhouse. Light ruddy brown, clear with a small but healthy white head. Malt-dominated aroma with forest floor and a touch of foraged berry. Sweet taste with enough zip from the hop to maintain a pleasant balance. Long finish is slightly more bitter with notes of fruit loaf and tea in the aftertaste. Not a bad drink by any means.
