A very rich brown Dubbel. Big caramelised, dark fruit flavours develop into a mild spice and clove followed by a gentle hop finish.

Keg from the Blue Moon during the NVB Tap Takeover 3 August 2017. Dark brown colour, slightly translucent with a tiny film of off-white head. Toffee in the aroma, along with Lotus spread and notes of coffee and plum. Taste is too sweet for me. It’s missing that spicy yeasty character that the best Belgian Dubbels have. Finish is slightly more bitter with a satisfying biscuity note. Good enough beer but too sweet and feels a tiny bit artificial.
