Hazy, dull pale amber colour. Medium head. The aroma is a mix of good (oak, saaz) and not so good (gloppy malts and green apples). On the palate that toasty oak note is nice, though it doesn’t cover up the aforementioned faults. Moderate bitterness…would definitely like more, especially because I think a leaner, more bitter interpretation of pilsner would complement that oak blast well.
