473ml can. Vintage 2026.
Tasting at Vastactiv.
The beer poured cola brown in color.
Bready and malty aroma. Full bodied, some light heat. Some molasses, but mostly bready malts and caramel. Long finish.

Dark brown, with a thick head. A bit toasty and there's some dark sugars on the nose. On the palate, it's got similar characteristics, medium-dry with a bit of alcohol. What stands out for me is that the malt flavours are correct, but they lack richness. Where's the melanoidins at? I mean, it's close but not quite. If I was a Bavarian version of Uncle Roger, I'd have fun with this.

Poured from 473mL can. Clear auburn brown with small off white head. Soft caramel malt, feint hint of wood, simple and to the point, well made.

16oz (thx, Chris S.!) shared with Ryan. Appearance: very dark copper with a tan head. Aroma: malty, caramel, sweet, dark fruits. Taste: along the same lines. Finishes with some hoppy bitterness. Overall: good.
