Bottle 330ml. w. swing top @ home. [ As Trierer Petrusbräu Altbier ].[ Trade by Beerhunter111 ]. Clear dark red brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, bread, sweet bread, syrup, light roasted. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, caramel, nutty, bread, caramel burnt bitter, burnt caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20141228]

Many thanks to Beerhunter111 for this 0,33l bottle. Best before 17.02.2015. Very nice and smooth. Malty-dry, not too sweetish with a very nice bitter aftertaste. Great and round. Roasted malt, a nice smooth malty sweetness, round, not too bitter, but roasted dry and characterful. The body is soft and smooth, the beer is still deep. Dry roasted caramel, smooth bitterness. Nice Alt!

Bottle from Beerhunter111, many thanks. Dark chestnut brown color with medium off-white head. Roasted malt, caramel, some fruits in aroma. Roasted malt, coffee, caramel in taste. Roasted malt, coffee, caramel, bitter hops in taste. Long coffee bitter finish. Good.

Many thanks for this bottle to Beerhunter111. Pours a dark brown color. Very malt taste with certain coffee notes. Light sweetness around tongue, some carbnaton.

Wenig karbonisierter, kaffeeartig röstiger Antrunk. Im Mittelteil wirkt das Ganze milder, noch leichte Röstnoten, geringfügig hopfig. Dunkel malziger Ausklang, harmonisch. 9/10/11/11/9/11

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein sehr dunkelbraunes fast schwarzes Bier mit ordentlicher beiger Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, Kaffee, hopfig. Geschmack röstmalzig, Karamell, dann schokoladig, Kaffee, im Abgang bitter hopfig mit ordentlicher Röstmalznote.

Bottle, 4.8%. Mildly fruity and slightly roasted aroma. Clear very dark brown colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is roasted and fruity. The aftertaste is also fruity, actually a bit much, in my opinion. Reminds me more of a stout than Altbier.

Bottle from the brewery. Pours hazy coffee brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with some estery touches - rather sweet for the style. Dusty and roasted flavour with sweetish, malty and estery notes and bitter, hoppy honts towards the finish. Lingering, dusty aftertaste. Lively carbonation, livelier than fits the body. Not bad, actually a nice try, but the stuff from Düsseldorf tastes better.
