Poured up on tap at GABF 2012 with a nice looking mahogany body that is supporting a tan head of foam. The mild aroma offers up some sweet to a touch earthy malts as well as a touch of roasted malts and slivers of spicy like hoppiness. The taste is pretty smooth and delivers a mix of slightly roasty to slightly sweet to slightly earthy malts as well as a pleasing level of spicy to almost malt sweetened citrus hop notes. Nice easy drinking brew.

On tap at Blue Palm’s 4th Anniversary (was not sure what the style of beer was suppose to be when I tried it). Pours with a black hued body and a small tan head that lasts. Aromas are roasty and kind of spicy (sort of phenolic in nature). A bit musty and earthy smelling, light fruity hop character. Flavors are medium roasty, spicy, earthy and bready. Lively bubbles, medium dry, crisp.
