Deep Clear Yellow, Good Medium Head, Plenty of Lacing. Aroma probably the most pleasant aspect of this beer. Sweet Malt, Yeast, Booze. Taste about the same: Sweet, Malt, booze burn that overpowers everything and is not pleasant. As it warms up, the burn tames down but still is felt and is not pleasant. Most likely brewed at request of they Russian distributors in US, which explains Russian Czar crown on its label. Probably same goes for its rubbing alcohol taste. Don’t want to generalize, but Russians are known for Vodka, not beer. It is a safe bet, that Standard for beer is not that high... Same Rinkuskiai has way better beer at same ABV level. Pass It...

50cl bottle pours clear deep gold with copper hues and virtually no head at all. The aroma pushes up apple juice notes, some sugary caramel, sugary sweetness and boozy chemical notes. The taste is fairly similar. It is smooth and sweet with sugary malts mixing with some caramel, sweet apple juice and then some chemical boozy notes midway and into the finish. At times I can actually taste moments of malts and grainy malts amid all the sugary sweetness. I’m really not finding anything that points to a big flaw in this beer. It is just overly sweet and boozy. All in all for what it is it isn’t not too hateful.
