An authentic recreation of the original 1842 Czech Pilsner using
imported Czech floor malt, from Weyermann Malting co. Mashed using a true triple decoction, and a long 2 hr boil, three hop additions all with Czech Saaz hops, and fermented with Bohemian’s Czech lager yeast.

On tap at the brewpub pouring clear copper with thick gold edges and near white head. The aroma offers up snippets of sweet malts, lagery yeast notes and faint grainy pilsener like malts. At times I can smell just a sense of floral hops. The taste has an even mix of sweet pilsener malts and floral hops. The hops seem to be equal in bitterness and flavor hops. I think this isn’t terribly fresh but ok.
