Ah! The joys of a crushable beer. A beer that hits the spot on a warm afternoon in the sun, tastes so good after a long bike ride or cools your dancing fever. Light in alcohol, Whitebait has 20% wheat for a soft flavour, while the Magnum & Cascade hops give it
the refreshing aromas of oranges with a hint of spice. As no style really fits, we decided to call it out for what it is: A crushable ale.

Can shared with the chefs, Advent Box nr 3. Pleasantly hoppy, sessionable pale, with notes of citruses, grass and herbal touches. Works as intended.

From tap at Utrechtse Bierbrouwers Festival 2017. Aroma is soft malts with mild fruity notes, some citrus, hops, and a slight candied fruity touch. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and above moderate bitter. Body is medium. Modest, and pretty "crushable" indeed.

A bit of a miss… astringent to some extent, lacking the cleanliness to be “crushable” as they claim. Kromme haring utrecht

Straight from the top of my dome, and straight from the can. Wheaty, soft doughy, light floral, light sandy. Moderate sweet and some nice bitterness. Medium body and soft carbonation. Very crushable indeed. Feels like IPL. Could default to this.

Can from The Beer Cave. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of stewed pear and copper. Flavour of earth and rust. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Unusual and not particularly great.

330ml can via Moersleutel online shop. Pours golden amber, frothy off-white head. Aroma is malty, yeasty, slight oxidisation. Taste builds on the oxidisation, some turgid cardboard, dirty malt. Neither here nor there, bland, old-tasting and generally disappointing. A bad can perhaps.

Pale gold with a sticky, frothy white head that lingers. Aroma of citrus, caramel, bread. A mild, hoppy bitterness dominates the taste. Slightly watery texture. Nothing too exciting but clean and refreshing.
