The modern beer of Oktoberfest, not to be confused with Märzen. Less toasty and sweet. Festbier is clean with a mildly malty palate and more hop flavor.

First of all I have to confess that I am biased towards what I thought were traditional fest beers that are Vienna lagers. Don't know if that's true anymore but those are still my favorites. Aromas are malt, bread and hint of toast. Flavors are similar to nose adding in some darker flavored bread and nicely balanced bittersweet with carbonation. Decent for nothing distinctive.

Tavour can: pours deep gold with white head. Aroma is bready malts and some flowers. Taste is sweet, malty, but still crisp and light. Another nicely done lager.

Nice festbier, crisp and grainy, with a alight cereal sweetness offset by hints of apple, toasted bread, and lemon. Mild oak and vanilla on the back end, leading to a floral fade with a very, very subtle vinous note. Tasty.
