Loses the unsweetened cocoa and dark apple notes and replaces them with milk chocolate and vanilla sweetness, and an unnecessary outsized floral bitterness on the finish. Black lagers are great because of their subtlety. None to be found here.

The chunks are off-putting a bit but light pastry on a schwarzbier. The nose is stronger on the pastry than the flavor although the dark chocolate goes far, not too shabby while being fun IMO.
