Bottle from @cotteridgewines why am I drawn to beers that have hop in the name or label this has both! Pour dark amber with small off white head. Citrus, piney hops one the aroma. Can’t taste the hops as much as the smell, more sweet malts in the foreground. Nice ale. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hop Mountain on 16 Sep 2012 at 18:36 - Score: 6. Original review text: More hops in the aroma than taste from @cotteridgewines

355ml bottle. Pours dark orange with a medium head. Aroma is banana, orange squash and toffee malt. Taste is mostly toffee malt with a medium bitter finish. A little sweet. Drinkable, nothing special.

Bottle at home - 08/06/12. Slightly hazed orange/copper colour with a medium cream coloured head. Sweet malt nose, diacetyl whiff, sugar, grain. Sweet malt taste allied to a little fruit flavour and a very faint apperance of something citrusy! Medium bodied with a decent/moderate level of carbonation.

Ganked from my brother: Pours a pretty orange brown color with a nice off-white and long-lasting head. Aroma is not that powerful and I notice the caramel notes before anything else. However, the taste is very well-balanced. No reason to call this a hop mountain, but there is a sufficient amount of hoppy bitterness, but it is the malt backbone that makes this beer for me. Very good balance and very good body. Better than I expected this jawn to be.
