Backlog July 2015. Almost clear, deep amber body under a light off-white head. Aroma has caramel malt, dry fruit and a fine touch of smoked meat and bacon. Taste is smoked malt, cored meat, caramel malt and medium bitterness. Medium body and same taste all the way through the last drop. Decent, but nothing extraordinary.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Austmann Smoked Porter ].Clear medium to dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, meat, sweet meat, smoke, sweet smoke. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, meat, smoked meat, roasted, malt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20141025]

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet, Tromsø Sentrum. Batch 166. Ekstremt dyp amber. Lavt skum som daler sakte. Tynn teppelacing. God aroma av bacon. Smaken er litt tynn. Mer bacon på et underlag av røyk. Bra - men litt uvariert. Uklar i siste kvelling.

Small bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is mildly smoked and mineraly, smoked ham, leather, hay, grass, minerals, weeds, paper, burnt caramel. Taste is slightly dry and harsh, minerals, weeds, wet hay, wet leather, burnt grain, burnt caramel, smoked ham, grass, paper. Little bitterness, slightly harsh and dry watery mouthfeel. Meh!

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Clear brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and lots of smoked meat. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. 251014

Bottle split at CBC Clerko during my 40th shindig, big thanks to Rune for having left this in London for us to share, 11/10/14. Dark mahogany brown with a decent khaki covering. Nose is smoked malt, toffee, woody notes, smoked piggy meat, light minerals. Taste comprises smoked malt, smoked gammon, brown bread, spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid smoked offering.
