Tight, light brown head soon left a cover on a murky, reddy brown body. Dark fruit, raisin, spirit & dark sugar aroma with a slightly vinous hint. Medium to full bodied, airy & tingly all over the tongue. A bitter/sweet beer. Sweeter to the fore with malts, demerara sugar, plum & apricot this slowly changes on the aft to a vinous, tangy taste with grape & a slight christmassy note.

Bottle, 75cl. A dense, finger-thick light beige head forms over a clear, glowing amber body. The aroma is on the sugary sweet Belgian side, with dried fruits and a touch of fresh fruits. Some cellar hints. Rather effervescent on the palate, lightly warming, with caramel maltyness and some yeasty hints. Resiny and grassy hints, with some alcohol notes. Lasting sweet, sugary and fruity finish with yeast hints and dried fruits. Alcohol. Quite nice this one, but too effervescent and sugary. 141220
