Brewed with the aptly named ‘Sussex Hop’ – originally discovered growing wild in a hedgerow in Sussex, but now cultivated as a variety in its own right. It is supplemented with Cascade hops grown in the UK.

Cask @ GBBF14. Fresh floral nose. The beer starts smooth with a moderate bitterness, only a few floral hints and smooth grain. The mainpart is smooth-fresh, nice floral hints together with a smooth bitterness. Nice sweetish grainy body. There is no distinctive hop aroma to figure out for me. Only floral green hints. The aftertaste is smooth, fresh. Golden smooth and slightly sweetish grain with a nice floral grassy bitterness. Easy to drink but still deeper. Nice!

LIVE RATING: Cask at the Lord Nelson Inn, Brighton on 17th January 2014. Blonde with no head or lacing. Floral hop aroma with fruitiness. Sweet floral hoppiness in-mouth, finish is like a flowery white wine. Mouthfeel somewhat lacking in texture, but a fair amount of body. Half a pint was enough for me.
