Track 5 is a blend of two of our best fruited sour beers. An equal blend of Red Poppy and Framboise de Amorosa. Once the beers were blended we added additional fruit and let them rest in another set of French Oak barrels. The aroma is an explosion of red wine and oak notes. A jammy fruit presence dominates the mid-palate of the beer before a bracing tannin laced dryness pervades the finish.

All told an exceptionally complex marriage between fruit, oak and red wine expressions.

Bottle bought through Drikkeriget. Pours hazy red with a small pinkish white head that doesnät leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is fruity and heavy acetic with bread, raspberries, lemon juice, lime juice, vinegar, hay, soil leathern and lemon zest. Taste is sour, fruity and acetic. Mouthfeel is dry, tart, mouth-puckering, throat burning acetic and medium bodied. Finish is heavy sour with bread, raspberries, vinegar, hay, dry soil, leather and lemon zest. Over the top acetic but has some redeeming qualities. --- Beer merged from original tick of Track #5: Shout at the Devil on 15 Oct 2016 at 20:37 - Score: 7. Bottle. It pours an almost clear body, dark amber to light brown in color, topped by a minimal sized light beige head. The aroma has a vinegary raspberry touch, some caramel roasted malt notes, lots of vinous hints, and also some leather and oak. Not vanilla though. It’s full-bodied, warming and tart, with a low but pleasant level of carbonation. Roasted malt hints, caramel too, with dried fruits, leather hints and a vinous, oaked touch. Raisins, raspberry and some prunes too. Lasting finish. Perhaps a bit low on aroma, but it’s sure a fine one that I could have more of. 141220
