On February 16th 1813, New Brunswick’s 104th Regiment of Foot started a more than 1100 kilometer march from Fredericton, New Brunswick to modern day Kingston, Ontario, to reinforce the British garrison and thwart an expected American invasion. The winter of 1813 was one of extreme cold and heavy snows and this march lasted until April. This epic march stands as a great achievement in both military, and New Brunswick history.

Looks like cola but with a nice long-lasting beige head and some creamy lacing. Aromas of apples, roasted and caramel malts. The taste with the same malts has some nutty notes as well. Pretty decent brown ale that refreshes.

Beaucoup de malt bien foncé et énormément de café me montent au nez... Cependant, le goût ne peut suivre le parfum initial, ce qui déçoit considérablement. Bon produit malgré cela.

Bottle from the brewery store. Pours a clear dark brown color with ruby at the edges and a creamy frothy off white head that displays great retention and lace. Aromas of caramel, toffee, and chocolate maltiness with just a hint of butterscotch and earthy hop to balance. The flavor is rich caramel and toffee maltiness with a fair amount of chocolate notes and some earthy hop flavor and minimal bitterness. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a creamy silky mouthfeel. I seem to be a bit better at tolerating diacetyl in darker beers and I kind of enjoyed this one.
