Curious four pack in the store today found its way home with me. Pours a deep golden color with a good sized off white head that persists for a while. Smells of bready and pilsner malt with hints of diacytyl and sulfur. Little to no hop presence. The flavor is sweet, maybe a bit too sweet with honey and crystallized sugar. Light pilsner malt flavor with little hop presence. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation, and a sweet almost syrupy mouthfeel. I really wasn’t expecting much out of a gimmicky beer like this and I was not let down. Overly sweet maltiness and little else.
