5 oz. pour on tap as part of a flight at the brewery. Appearance is opaque black with finger-width tan nitro head with excellent retention and nice soapy lacing. Aroma is roasted malt with light caramel and smoky and savory quality. Taste is strong campfire, roasted malt, burnt sugar. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, more burnt than I was expecting, but the strongest aroma/flavor of today’s selections.

Can from a Lazy Dog Solid darkest of brown with a good sized frothy tan head that persists. Rich roasty and light chocolate with bits of dried fruit and earth to counter. Light grainy mouthfeel. A little sweet for a dry stout but its a damn fine beer.
