White Sand Imperial India Pale Ale is the light colored twin of Black Sand Imperial India Pale Ale. Use of malts much lighter in roast allows the profound addition of summit, cascade, amarillo and other rare finishing hops to be clearly accentuated. This is a crisp and floral IPA.

Bottle from Craft Shack. Pours translucent light orange amber with a slight beige head. Aroma is mixed pine/caramel. Full bodied. Flavor is caramel, pine/resin and citrus and fruit. It has a bitchin hop burn. Yet it’s not harsh like the NW monsters. Which I prefer, but to everything there is a season. Season, not saison. It’s good ale!

Bottle - Resin, earthy and celery. Clearish orange with a rich head. Wierd celery and bitterness, some soap and pine. Finish is long and not great. A miss for me.

On tap at Blue Palms. Pours with a hazy golden hued body with a large white head that lasts and leaves very good lace. Aromas are of hops, citrus tangerine, grapefruit, overripe fruit (which I generally associate with Centennial, but I guess not here). Some sticky caramel presence, resin. Low but still present esters. Flavors are malty, sweet, burnt caramel, crystal malt. Too sweet and distracting in that respect. Hop flavors are grassy, resin, tangerine, rotten fruit, grapefruit. Medium carbonation, sweet, a touch boozy.
