750 ml bottle dated 7/27/14. Hazy orange gold color with lasting head in my Chimay goblet. Aroma is a heart dose of grapefruit, orange, lemon peel and a grain note.

Flavor is some chewy yeast with lots of the grainy texture. The yeast has a nice character without any type of bitterness. Pretty much as it smells with a sweeter finish. Pretty drinkable although not real complex.

750ml bottle - I was wary of buying this considering the number of adjuncts on the label, but Iโ€™ve been impressed with Uinta in recent years, so I decided to give it a shot - pour is hazy orange - lively carbonation on the pour, but it fails to kick up a head - nose is moderately tart, with some sweet citrus (orange flesh), moderate phenolics (white pepper and an earthy/rustic quality), mildly estery (bubblegum), with some underlying sugar/white frosting sweetness - flavor is similar - starts off kind of sweet, but some tartness/acidity and spicy phenolics arrive rather quickly, followed by some rustic yeast character - some melon rind throughout - sweetness returns for the finish (candied orange), as do some of the estery notes from the nose - a bit too sweet and estery for me, but Iโ€™m still enjoying it okay - itโ€™s just a little muddled and lacks the crisp vibrancy I look for in the style.

750 c&c from Trader Joeโ€™s in Davis, CA. Pours hazy gold with a creamy white head. Light bits of spice and mild fruity esters as per description. Med body or so. Flavor is fruity, lightly spicy, and earthy, but not all at the same time. The fruit seems to continue, but the rest is ephemeral. Or maybe the earthy is just very low key. Itโ€™s a bright, light fruity thing, and IMHO itโ€™s being slightly underrated by some.

A little bit spicy, but enough to save this saison. Some peppery spiciness right up front, and not much to back it up with after that. Medium golden hazy body with airy head. Overall consistency is fairly watery, aroma is equal parts malt, hops and spice. A little disappointing
