Drunk to celebrate my rating number 23,600. Bottled. A dark amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of brettanomyces, caramel, malt, and wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of wood, brettanomyces, malt, caramel, and wine, leading to a lightly tart finish.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours amber with a slight haze and a small off-white head. Baking yeast tart aroma. Medium body, some sweet oak, tart overripe fruits, a little berries. Ends sour/astringent. Not bad, but never great. 260412

12 ounce bottle at Hamiltons, thanks to Todd. Pours a clear light copper color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet barrel, some brett, big vinous notes. The flavor is not very sour, more barrel and sweet malts, some grapes, funky, earthy, lots of nice flavors but a bit disconnected. Light tasty sour grapes in the finish. Good.

12oz beer shared by Tim by way of JB, thank you guys. Pours a clear, glowing copper-orange-reddish color. Aroma is thin cherry sourness that is about all. Alcohol is well hidden though. The flavor has a little more substance but still pretty one-dimensional - thin cherry sour. Meh. I would drink it regularly if it were like $10 a sixer.

Bottle. Copper beer with a cream colored head. Tart/sour aroma with malt. Sour, light acetic flavor with light green apples. Medium bodied. Sour/acetic notes linger with green apple and light woodsiness.

Big thanks to Scott on this one. Pours a clear ruby amber with a gray head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is nice with lactic acid, stone and other red fruits with some backing funk and wine dryness. Flavor is much more strongly acidic with a bit of red fruit and a bit of oak and dry wine in the finish.

12 oz given to me by jb. Bottled date 02 11 2011. Pour is a mostly clear golden ruby with a smallish tan head. Aroma is vinegar acidity, along with wood tannins. Decent integration, though the vinegar does spike out a bit. Taste is the vinegar sour acidity, vanilla oak, red wine, and finishes out with a perfume herbal floral which was a bit out of place. Palate is medium bodied, light active carbonation and a finish with a bunch of red wine. Interesting beer, thanks for giving me this one John.

On tap a Stone’s Oakquinox. Pours with a clear copper body and small tan head that leaves decent lace. Aroma is big time fruit, wine, vinous, sour, cherries, cabernet, pedio and funk. Flavors are vinous, sour, cab grapes, fruity, cherries, dates, very rich, some brandy. Warming yet sour. Layered. Lively bubbles, tart and big!
