500ml bottle. Cloudy, amber colour with small to average, frothy, fading, off-white head. Yeasty spicy, yeasty fruity and sweet-ish, wheaty malty aroma, notes of clove, a touch of cinnamon, banana, baked banana, a touch of honey, baked apple, dried fruit. Taste is surprisingly dry, slightly grassy hoppy, yeasty spicy and yeasty fruity, sweet-ish, wheaty malty, slightly diluted hints of banana, baked banana, honey, some clove, a touch of nutmeg and cinnamon, dried fruit. Creamy texture with watery flanks, soft palate, somehow soft to flat, still minimally prickly carbonation. Nice composition, sadly somehow a tad insipid - OK.

Fläschla: Deep golden to chestnut-amber coloured, hazy, big and stable creamy off-white head; dried fruits and caramel in the sweet-sourish nose, sweet pale malt and wheat well detectable as well; moderate sweet-sourish flavour, medium bodied, creamy MF; lingering sweet toasty-caramelly finish with notes of dried fruits, wheat and yeast and a delicate balancing acidity in the aftertaste. A very tasty ""Ur-Weizen", as it would be called outside of good, old Franconia...

(bottle) Cloudy, amber colour with a beige and tall foamy head. Banana-fruity aroma, hints of candied fruits, sweet malt, tinge of caramel, shades of wheat, also slightly sweaty. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Mildly cara-malty base with shades of banana, delicately hoppy accents in the background; moderately sweet malty and sligfhtly wheaty finish with hints of banana and delicately herbal hoppy spots. Likeable Franconian “Urweisse” as they´d call it in Bavaria. 25.III.17
