This one is from 2nd batch, order from the brewery, drunk as soon as I got it. Pours hazy yellow with a sparse white foam. Aroma is dry, some milky and creamy hops, bit of juice. Promising and better as I remember from 1st batch (when the beers I tried were a bit older). Taste comes home with a lot of satisfaction, light, citrusy, creamy and with some crisp hoppiness. Only now I understand the popularity of this beer, it early needs to be super fresh for the best characteristics to come out. This one is and yes, nice juice-bomb that has been also hopped properly. Tasty.

Bottle thanks to Mark. Pour a somewhat cloudy orange hue, sort of yellow with a medium white head. A nice tropical fruity nose. The flavor is sweet soft peaches, big tropical notes, wheat or grassy grains, lemon zest. Quite nice. Soft and easy.

Shiga Kogen New Engi-land IPA 6.5%
I believe the label on this bottle is to mark the launch of Shiga Kigen’s new Bed & Breakfast.
An orange gold with a luscious head of foam that didn’t linger. The aroma is an incredibly juicy tropical hop bouquet. Medium bodied and finishing bone dry. The taste is prickly pear, guava and other tropical notes with piney bitterness and sweet light caramel malt character in the background. This smells awesome and tastes just as good.

Very turbid, hazy amber white color. The nose is like cherry and white gummy bears. A bit too carbonated for the style and perhaps on the bitter end of what I would expect for the style, but nice gummy bears. Good stuff

Bottle from Yamaoka. Big juicy, fruity nose, orange, passion fruit, grapefruit, light piss, mango, pineapple. Very cloudy, murky, deep gold with a low head. Not pretty at all. Flavor is fruity and juicy, lots of citrus and tropical fruit juice, peppery hops, wheaty biscuits, medium spicy bitterness. They almost nailed the style. Perhaps a bit bitterer than usual, and not quite as fruity as the best in the US, but it works for me. Looks gross though.
