12 oz bottle courtesy of Suttree. August 2013 Week 1 notched on the side of the label. The pour is a clear golden copper orange with a crackling ½ inch off white head. The aroma is soft citrus peel, along with a bit of floral and some slightly sweet malt. The taste is the softly bitter citrus / orange peel, followed close behind by floral grass, and finishing with a husky cracker malt that carries the finish, getting a tad earthy mineral in the long finish. The palate is light to medium bodied, dry mineral finish. Nice Pale Ale, thanks for sending this my way Phil.

Draft. Clear amber body with a frothy, off-white head, slowly diminishing. Aroma of toasted grain, sweet caramel, floral hops, citrus, orange. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, soft carbonation. A comfortable, easy-to-drink beer. Sweeter than the average APA, but enough bitterness to balance that. Taste of orange and citrus, hint of biscuit and grapefruit.

Sample at Beer Sellar in Nashville. This beer is a reddish-gold color with a medium ivory white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of citrus, malt and hops. Light to medium body with a mildly bitter hops character and notes of grapefruit and sweet malt. The finish is short and lightly hopped. Fairly average overall.

Bottle: Poured a light orange color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of medium citrus hops with light dry caramel malt notes. Taste is a mix between some light citrus notes with medium level of bitterness originating from the hops with some dry caramel malt presence can also be felt. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Well brewed with nice level of hops presence and not too much malt to distract from the hops.
