Bottle from the brewery. Jet black, opaque with a 2 finger mocha head. Dark semi sweet roast, intense dark roast coffee, slightly smoky with some hints of sky, and a soft nuttiness. Mouth feel is oily, and full, with a soft, smooth carb. Medium bitter finish, the jelly really comes through in the end. Sweet grape notes, and a light nuttiness enveloped in a huge roast, coffee laden malt bill.

A pour at I hope not a super spreader event Weathered. Appearance: dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: inky, roasty, maybe some barrel character. Taste: sweet lacto, sludgy jellies, chocolate. Overall: thanks god there is not peanuts, but it's just not bad overall.

(375ml bottle from the brewery webshop) Pours near-black with a small tan head and no lace. Aroma is blackberry jam over heavily roasted malts, a lot of toasted and burnt grains, spent coffee grounds, cacao, some crushed peanuts, caramel. Flavour is sweet caramel and blackberry jam at the core, dusty peanuts, heavily roasted and burnt grains with some acidity and ash, bitter black coffee and cacao, drying into the finish with a lot of bitter burnt grains and coffee, unsweetened chocolate, dusty peanuts again, some blackberry sweetness but also pip astringency, mineral-type drydown into the aftertaste. Lingering dusty blackberry jam. Medium-bodied, oily, a little alcohol warmth. This has a few months of age on it so the peanut may have faded partly because of that. Felt more jelly and roast than PB&J but still pretty tasty.
