Cuban Coffee Stout. Trade Day refers to the old Southern tradition of gathering at the crossroads to buy and sell goods of all kinds. These culturally diverse events still exist all over Alabama, and after half a century, it’s finally time to welcome our Cuban neighbors back to the crossroads. Y’all bring the coffee, we’ll bring the beer.

Bottle: Black with a small tan head. Smoky, dark chocolate, coffee scent. Taste is roasty, smoky coffee, espresso, chocolate malt. A nice, mild bitterness. Good body.... Very pleasant.

Nice, easygoing coffee stout, dry and roasty with a slow rising mocha bitterness and a mildly sweet middle. Finishes on a flourish of java and a yeast. Good.

Bottle - Dark roast bean. Deep brown with a light brown head. Dark roast coffee and really not much else. OK, but very coffee dominant.

Bottle from the Craft Beer Advent Calendar; bottled 07/22/15
Black color, small head. Strong coffee character, quite good quality; the beer is drier than expected, I would have appreciated more if sweeter, but it’s still good as is; warming alcohol feeling.
Lean, well crafted.

12 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out roasted espresso beans upfront, with a touch of roasted malt in general. Flavour is robust, with espresso beans dominating the palate. Very dry palate, with no residual sweetness, and a medium palate. Really enjoyable stuff. I like it more than the current average.

2015 beer advent. Very dark brown head, but little retention, mostly just fizzy, so slightly thin on the body. Strong mocha coffee aroma and flavour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12fl.oz. bottle from 2015 Craft Beer Advent Calendar. Pours an opaque mahogany with a medium, short lived, brown head that leaves spotty lacing. Strong coffee aroma with roasted malt and dark chocolate. Sweet flavour of roasted malt and dark chocolate with a dry, bitter coffee finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Nice.
