Cuban Coffee Stout. Trade Day refers to the old Southern tradition of gathering at the crossroads to buy and sell goods of all kinds. These culturally diverse events still exist all over Alabama, and after half a century, it’s finally time to welcome our Cuban neighbors back to the crossroads. Y’all bring the coffee, we’ll bring the beer.

66cl Bottle at RBESG 17 Grand Tasting. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of tar, fudge, light sour roast, hint of coffee. Flavour is quite light, roast, something burnt, some chocolate. Light bodied. Misses oomph and body. Or coffee to be a coffee stout.

Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, ash, stale coffee and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A surprisingly poor brew.
