Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 5/6/2019. Near black in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. A touch of leafy hop, darl berries, a demerara sugar edge, toasty malts and a lingering, bitter, finish. Good.

(Keg at Gallows Bird Real Ale Tribute to Shakespeare, 20160903) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had pine, peach and burnt malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, sweetness, liquorice, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, fruity and bitter. A nice hoppy and burnt brew.

Tap at Gallow’s Bird, Espoo. Colour is almost black with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Fruits, citrus, chocolate, hops and roasted malts.

On tap at Cherry Red Cafe, pours black with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Nose brings out light English hops and earthy notes. Flavour is smooth, with English hops, bready notes, earthy notes and some stale metallic notes. Easily drinkable but not overly pleasant. Decent.

Cask at the Victoria, Birmingham. Poured a dark mahogany with a light frothy tan head. The aroma is light smoky malt. The flavour is moderate bitter with a roasty, slightly medicinal, grassy hop palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

On tap at the West End Tap, lincoln. Deep reddish brown almost black. Lively body. Very light aroma of toast. The taste is roasted but with more hops.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Clouded Minds Black Pike ].Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine, grapefruit. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, smoked, hoppy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140418]
