Bottle: Deep brown, red highlights, huge, frothy, dark tan head. Chocolate, citrus aroma.....orange.... Taste is creamy cocoa, vanilla.....mildly spiced citrus hops. Quite tasty...the hop/chocolate malt combination balances quite nicely.

Nice deep brown coloured body with a thin, one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, alcohol, raisins, plums, figs anda bunch of toffee - more sweetness than anything else. Rich Medium to Full-bodied; Strong roasty and toasty malt flavours with a big nut and earthy finish and a mild sweetness from toffee and caramelised sugars. Aftertaste shows some earthiness, a lot of walnut and pecans and a touch of coffee and bitterness at the end. Overall, a nice porter with some solid flavours and a nice profile that leans more earthy and deep than roasty and bitter. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Corner Store (Bait and Tackle) in West Palm Beach, Florida on 30-December-2013 for US$3.29 sampled in my hotel room here in Clearwater, Florida on 02-January-2013.

Bottle: Pours brown with a finger of tan head. Nose is sweet and roasty, with a significant amount of citrus hops. Taste follows. The citrus hops work nicely with the level of roast even a light bit of smoke. Borderline porter v. black ipa in my book. Refreshing and very good.

Poured up on tap at GABF 2012 with a nice looking mahogany body supporting a tan head of foam. The mild aroma offers up a little bit of dark roastiness as well as some earthy malt notes. The taste is smooth and mild and blended with dark roasted malts and slightly burnt malts but balanced out by some malt sweetness and malt earthiness and just a touch of mineral. Pretty cool balance for a standard Porter style.
