(Tap) clear, bright, very dark brown colour with a small brown head; aroma of chocolate liqueur, then roast; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours oily black with a creamy, tan head. The nose has some good roasted malts, burnt coffee, earth, chocolate. Medium sweet flavour with notes of gooey chocolate, moderate earthy bitterness, nice espresso. Medium bodied and lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Fairly sweet on the finish, with more gooey chocolate, restrained coffee, faint rubber. Solid overall.
