Bottle. Dark gold-amber, hazy, with a beige head. Malty aroma. Taste - I dunno but i can tell you that was my first reaction was it made my gag after one swallow. Subsequent swallows slightly better, but I would say avoid at all costs, despite the fact it's a California Common.

Bottle from Total Wine. This pours cloudy orange, which is already an alarming observation for the style. Small white head, dissipates quickly with decent residual and lacing. Aroma is grain, copper, cooked cabbage, cardboard. Flavor is light plus sweet, light plus bitter, metallic and vegetal. Medium body, Pretty icky. CA Brewery #306 makes this worth $2 at Total Wine; otherwise I recommend you steer clear of this disaster.

(tap) hazy bright yellow colour with a small white head; aroma of cigarette smoke, herbs, weeds, finally some honey; assertive flavour with a long light bitter finish
