Pours slightly hazy amber with small off-white head. Clear aroma of fruit and malt, with subtle flowery and hoppy notes. Sweetish flavour of fruit and caramel malt, with estery notes and faint touches of hops. Sweet aftertaste. OK but a trifle too sweet for a BSA if you ask me.

on tap BJ’s of Tucson, listed at 10%(11Jan11) pours light yellow with a thin white head. Aroma gives lots of strong spicy Belgian yeast notes with some candied sugar. Flavor is very sweet, so much that the alcohol is entirely masked but other than artificial sweetener and Belgian yeast I don’t get much else. Could only finish half of it.

Draft. Amber beer with an off-white head. Aroma of fruity esters and light malt. Malt and tropical/summer fruit flavor with light earthiness and light yeast. Medium-plus bodied. Fruity esters linger with malt and light earth.

10th anniversary edition. Pours a very cloudy orange gold with a small frothy white head that leaves good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a clove and banana with citrus zest. Medium mouthfeel with a dry malt with orange peel and clove with a nice dry finish. Hides the alcohol well making it easy to drink. A very good belgian strong ale from BJs.

Tap. Somehow the server told me the beer was 12% abv. Either she was wrong or the RB listing needs to be updated. Pours hazy golden with thin white head. Aroma is fruity, yeasty for a sugary nose. Taste, yeasty, fruity with notes of spices. Overall mouthfeel had a honey like feel with plenty of alcohol. Drinkable with a good boozy kick.
