Bottle. Hazy light amber liquid with huge white head. Aroma of grain, white pepper, lemon peel and fermented honey. Taste is dry and light sour with notes of lemon, fermented honey and grain. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. Quite nice but the honey doesn’t add anything positive.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours deep golden with a slight haze and a huge and lively white head. Nose is yeasty with a dry orange zest. Medium body, very heavily carbonated, yeasty with an unpleasant tart edge that mostly appears like an unintentional lactic infection - but could be the ginger perhaps? No real gingery flavours though. Gets medicinal and phenollic towards the end. Not my kind of saison at all - sorry. 080914

Hefig herber, stark karbonisierter Antrunk. Hopfiger im Mittelteil, mild säuerlich, helle Getreidenoten. Zum Ende noch einmal intensiver, süffig, hefig, erfrischend. 11/9/11/9/11/9

Wally’s, LA: Pours golden orange with a big fluffy white head. Aroma is farmhouse funk and a healthy dose of honey. Taste is sharply bitter in a subdued way. The honey is fortunately also quite subdued, but it adds to the taste rather than the sugar content. Finish is pretty dry. Aftertaste of honey hops and minerals.

Bottle bought @ bierkompass.de. Pours hazy reddish golden with a huge frothy and fizzy offwhite head that leaves a small spotty trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is spicy and slightly phenolic with sourdough crackers, hay, pear skins, dried ginger, lemon juice, yuzu juice, dry soil, lemon zest, white pepper corns and hints of honey. Taste is tiny sour and slightly spicy with sourdough crackers, lemon juice, moist hay, dry soil, fresh ginger, white pepper corns, moist wood, honey and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is crisp, sparkling, dry and light to medium bodied. Finish is tiny sour and slightly spicy with sourdough crackers, lemon juice, fresh ginger, hay, dry soil, leather, white pepper corns and moist wood. Refreshing and just the right amount of spice.

355ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey, deep golden to amber colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Slightly spicy, yeasty aroma, a touch of wheat and honey, cautious hints of ginger. Taste is initially minimally sweet malty with a honey touch, later dry, minimally soapy hints of ginger, spicy, yeasty overtones, bitter hoppy finish. Slightly inharmonic, ginger turned soapy as so often.

Bottle. Pours a honey yellow with a cloudy, lasting head. Some spice aroma. Flavor is initially spice with a long, sweet honey flavor. Almost an apricot flavor as well. Pretty good beer.

This brew pours a cloudy yellow-gold color with a medium foamy white head that recedes steadily. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruit, yeast and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of pale malts, honey and fruity yeast. The finish is sweet with a honey and fruit aftertaste. Decent overall.
