10 oz. snifter in Standard Market). Light cinnamon and brown sugar smell. Hazy amber color, foamy head that spilled over the edge of the pour. Taste has a lot of, um, “substance” to it. Thick imperial strength malt to it. Lactose adds cream and sugar to the impression. Cinnamon is there, but not overdone. Vanilla adds a welcome bit of brandy barrel to it. Cinnamon does pick up as I get closer to the end.

Purchased at Binny’s Lakeview in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at a recording studio in Milwaukee, WI while working on a project 3 years in the making. I didn’t take tasting notes, but remember this being very sweet with a significant cinnamon presence. It’s not cereal like, but I really wasn’t expecting it to be, it was potent though and went down very easily, and is great to have before noon. I’d have it again.
