Bottle, 75cl corked. A minimal sized off-white head forms over a lighlty hazy golden body. It’s sort of woody and oaked, with white wine notes and some sourish hints. Lemon and some maltyness. Papaya and grapefruit. It’s quite complex, but not very interesting anyway. Not sure why, as it’s both tasteful and quenching in a way. Perhaps it’s caused by some sort of tropical fruit added? Dry, nicely carbonated and medium bodied. Tart, fruity finish. A strange one, nice indeed, but still not. 140830

Corked 750 from Half Time. Pours light translucent gold with a transient white head. Mild brett aroma with white berry and light fruits. Med body. Not brett. Flavor is very sourt/tart with lemon citrus and oak astringency. With mouth fatigue the finish is tart/sour and quite dry. Excellent.

Bottle. Hazy hay yellow liquid with small white head. Aroma of lemons, barnyard, earthy funk, apple skin, lacto and a weird spicyness. Taste is dry and medium sour with notes of lemons, barnyard and light apples. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. Balanced and nicely tart but a bit thin.

Bottle @ Crooked Stave Reserve Society bottle share. Not sure who brought this, but I was glad to finally try it. Pours a milky yellow appearance with a white head. Tangy lemon, white wine, straw, fairly funky aroma. Barnyard, lemon zesty, kind of juicy, acidic, pineapple, quite sour flavor that has quite a burn on the finish. Pretty tasty.

From the September 2012 3R6P gathering. +++ Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a pale yellow color with a small foamy white head. The aroma was funky, bretty and sour with a hint of vinegar and a touch of banana. The flavor was strong lemon, dry, tart, chalk and vinegar. Powerfully sour and astringent. Long tart vinegar and chalk finish. Medium length and body. Odd.

Tap at The Pony Bar HK, NYC. Pours pale, cloudy yellow with a slight, creamy white head. Nose is all tart, citric lemon, faint wheat. Light to medium sweet flavor with an intense, biting sourness, more acidic lemon, faint grass. Light bodied with fine, zippy carbonation. Mouth-puckeringly sour finish, plenty more tart lemon juice, very dubtle dough and butter, a bit of lactic tang, plenty of lingering sour notes. Excellent.
