Batch #160. Got this last month at a store near me, but had to wait until I could get close to Superdawg and grab their standard Superdawg (sold in a box with a bed of fries) to have with. I used the Stenge "bullet" glass, which kicked up lot of foam in its narrow space. Clean lager malt smell, with hops note adding come contrast. Sharp hops are instrumental in cutting down the greasy fries. Sometimes I get the taste of oxidized malts, sometimes not. I’m aware that as a light style, a kölsch can be as hard to get right as a pilsener. Which is why I can forgive somewhat the slight odor of rubber and sulfur, and claim it’s average for this style.
