Bottle. An almost clear one, dark golden in color and with a dense, finger-thick off-white head leaving lacings. The aroma is quite bready and malty, with some wort and dried fruits. Alcohol hints both in the aroma and the flavor. It’s medium sweet and with a nice carbonation level, as well as a nice bitterness level. Too warming. Lasting finish with some toffee and bread. Too warm this one, else it’s a nice beer. 140830

Cork and caged 750ml bottle shared between 5 (Mat had already rated it) on 23rd Aug 2014 at the Midland tasting. Poured a good bright copper with a beige head. Sweet marmalade aroma with caramel as a base smell. This orange sweetness carried on into the taste, I liked it and thought it different to any other Bière de Garde I have had before.
