This is your gateway to smoked beers. It presents like a classic helles first: bready, rich malt flabor with the appropriate dryness to encourage another sip. In the aroma and on the finish is subtle smoke derived from a pinch of beechwood smoked male and the contribution of our oak smoke laden yeast pitch that we harvested from our Grodziskie. The result is a subtle, yet layered smoke character.

Draft at Goldfinger's Lagerversary. Same smoked ham smell of their other smoked beers. Golden beer color under a thin head. Can't deny the smoked malt taste, but all the Helles lager character is there, too. Good lawnmower beer malts, but a little thicker to go up against the snake. Had a great balance, though you still have to like smoked beer too enjoy it.
